Plain Sight is a multiplayer arcade game about suicidal ninja robots.
Fly through space, leap over planetoids and destroy opponents with your trusty katana.
Killing fellow robots lets you steal their tasty, tasty energy. Packed with spinach-like goodness; energy makes you bigger, stronger, faster and generally more awesome.
Being all big and badass is great, but in this game it doesn’t win you the match. It makes you a target.
To win, you have to convert your energy into points…
How do you do this? Simple. Kill yourself.
Press the button and turn your happy little robot into a vicious ball of enemy-absorbing plasma. The more opponents you take out, the better.
Upgrade your robot, respawn and get stuck in again…

Q: When is the game to be released?
A: 5th April 2010.
Q: Is it coming out for consoles?
A: Yes, currently we are working on PS3 and Wii Ware versions. This will be released a year after Plain Sight PC, so Q1 2011.
Q: What was up with the last open beta – it didn’t work?!
A: We got a little carried away and thought the game was far more ‘ready’ than it actually was. Woops. After the internet got a whiff of a ‘free game’ our servers burst into flames. On the positive side over 50,000 people downloaded the game. On the negative, probably about 3 got to play it…
Q: If I keep asking for the game, will you release it quicker?
A: No, we will just mock you behind your back.
Q: Why has there been a delay in launching the game?
A: Beatnik Games has been commissioned by Channel 4 to work on a new project. This unfortunatly meant that we had to pause development on Plain Sight whilst we took on more staff. Everything is running smoothly now..
Q: What’s the robot name?
A: El Mono.
Q: Who did the original beatnik website art and Plain Sight posters?
A: The amazing Declan Shalvey
Q: Are you hiring?
A: Not at the moment.
Q: I have an opinion / idea...
A: Type them into the forum machine… it’ll either answer you with scorn or love.
